Here is the best ultrasound photo we have of Baby Baird #2! It's a BOY! We're super excited!
This is him at 26 weeks, but he is measuring 28 weeks. This doesn't necessarily mean he's coming out early, just BIGGER! Aidan was 9lb, 4 oz, so we're counting on another big boy. Aidan got to come see the ultrasound, and commented that it looked like the baby was doing "karate" inside! (He thinks the baby's hand on the forehead is a "high block" like in his karate class.) And from all the kicking and movement I feel, I think he's right! | | | |

Above are a couple recent videos of Aidan. The first is playing baseball with Daddy and the second is at swim lessons, which he loves!
And below are some pictures from December through now.
| With Grammy and Grampy (aka Nonny and Baba) before they left on their trip to Peru and Ecuador. |
| A Christmas visit from Grandma... and another garbage truck! (Aidan often says "Three trucks is not enough. Thirteen is enough.") |
| Riding the cable car with Aidan over the holidays |
| Riding his new bike at our local park |
| Riding into the sunset! |
| New Year's Eve at friend Kristie and Stephen's house. At these parties it's usually Aidan and lots of girls! |
| Kissing the belly at ~20 weeks along. |
| Someone still thinks he fits in here! |
| More bike riding! Aidan can't get enough of this recently! |
| Celebrating my "30+1" with friends |
| Our trip to Tahoe over my birthday weekend |
| Aidan went "tubing" for the first time |
But even more exciting than that was Aidan's first ski lesson!
He did a good job learning to snow plow. If we ever take a trip to Sweden in the winter again, he'll be prepared!
Aidan breaking a board in his karate class. This was required as part of his test to earn his next belt.
We think Aidan even surprised himself when he broke it on the first try!

And just for fun: some recent "Aidanisms":
"Is today going to be another throw-up day, Mommy?" (since I'm occasionally still sick with the pregnancy)
"Gee whiz. You're stressing me!" (over pretty much anything we're hurrying him to do, like get his socks and shoes on as we rush out the door)
"People need to learn how to drive" (when someone made a turn in front of us on the road.)
"Hello Baby. I'm your big brother. When you come out, can we play football?" (Aidan loves to talk to the baby.) |
