Aidan at 22 months... definitely almost two!

Well, Aidan has gotten better and the weather has gotten worse (rain, but it's much needed!)... the former being the most important! I am so glad he is over his wheezing... let's hope it doesn't return. We actually had an amazing 3-day weekend last weekend- went on a ferry to Angel Island on Saturday then to the Monterey Bay Aquarium on Sunday. James and I stayed over Sunday night in Monterey and Aidan went back to SF with the grandparents... lucky us! It was a good birthday celebration.

Aidan is hilarious these days... his favorite expression of the day is "woah dude!" and he knows how to sing "Happy Birthday" (sort of). His is getting to be really good friends with his pal Julian and the two of them play really well together....except when Aidan goes overboard with the hugs.

Aidan is definitely asserting his independence a bit more as he approaches two! He is learning all the tricks in the book to avoid bedtime, for example!

Well, that's it for now! More to come in a few weeks I'm sure....

We have been having amazing weather here recently in San Francisco so are finally getting the chance to enjoy some time outdoors. Aidan has been sick recently, having to use inhalers for wheezing, but is slowly on the mend. Since cold seems to exacerbate his condition, we are glad for a little warmth! We went to the Academy of Sciences this weekend and Fort Funston, as well as a birthday party for another 2year old boy in our neighborhood. Next weekend, James and I are going to Monterey for one night over my birthday break (nearly 4 days off!). It will be our first time off on our own since he was born!

Recent events and Seattle vacation

The more kisses the better!

We had a great trip to Seattle during my Christmas break. It had just stopped snowing there so we got to enjoy what was left on the ground without getting snowed in (though that would have been nice too!) Aidan enjoyed a romp in the snow on Whidbey Island, and there was a huge party to welcome our new cousin Shan Shan to the family.
Aidan's favorite part, though, just might have been the dog. =]
